Anna Knight

Development Lead

Anna Knight CMgr, FCMI is a Chartered Manager with over 25 years’ management and project work experience in the health and social care sector. Anna has worked with organisations such as not for profit, private and charitable status and within the private and public sector. Anna is also the Development Lead for Dorset Care Association and until 2021 managed a care home achieving outstanding rating. 

Anna is also responsible for the management and development of a number of LA and NHS projects including the setting up and development of a Trusted Assessor Scheme which went live in January 2022.  To date, over 500 patient assessments have taken place with no failed discharges.  The team continues to grow and implement positive outcomes for vulnerable service users.

Anna has worked in mental health, learning disabilities, forensics, housing and specialist commissioning. Anna works with a variety of care providers across the country delivering support with HR consultations, income streams and budgets, profit and void management, recruitment and retention including fee negotiations with commissioners, the NHS and Local Authority brokerage teams.  Anna also focuses on support for new care provider start up’s and overseas recruitment.

Anna has a sibling with a learning disability with type 1 diabetes and early on set dementia.  She has been responsible for overseeing all his healthcare and support needs for over 18 years.  This gives her significant insight into the needs of families and friends trying to plan, support and manage care needs for vulnerable adults.  She is able to understand both sides of care delivery and receipt.
