My name is Rachel, and I am a Regional Operations Manager for Care South, a not-for-profit organisation. Care South currently have 16 residential and nursing homes for older people and a domiciliary care service, Care South at Home. My portfolio includes 5 care homes across Dorset, BCP and West Sussex.
I started my career as a housekeeper within a residential care home when I was 16 years old and have worked my way up from this to my current role which I started in May 2023.
I have experience of managing care homes for older people within London, Dorset, BCP and West Sussex, and have turned homes round from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ with CQC.
I am passionate about making a difference, driving quality, and bringing innovative ideas to the care sector.
I am honoured to be part of the Dorset Care Association and hope my skills and experience can benefit others within the industry.
